Yaaaahwn!

Afternoons are the most difficult times to be at work. Especially if you ended up travelling in a hot sun over a heavy lunch. I am pretty sure I will not pass the "Walk the straight line" test in this state. I am as good as drunk.

I am really looking forward to tomorrow. I hope my dream of riding a HD comes true. I miss my bike here so much already.

Middle east burning

For centuries the brothers of the middle east have been at war with each other and the rest of the world, destroying and creating civilizations, states and cultures accross the globe. There is no region in this world that has not been directly influenced by them. Indian subcontinent was divided into many states, the social fabric got permanently altered, fractured. More recently, Afganisthan, Iraq, now lebanon are in a state of absolute anarchy. We have the state of Pakisthan reeling towards anarchy, and already there are moves which indicate syria and Iran as the next stop.

Imagine a situation when Iraq, iran, Syria, Lebanon, Afghnisthan, Pakisthan have all collapsed. They will be the greatest threat to the world. There is no way to win against such an enmy, who is not seen, and like cancer spreads into the enmies nationhood. A very recent example is India. Till now India always believed that its muslims were moderate and did not associate with any terrorist activities on her soil or abroad. To her utter ashtonishment, she found that this was just a time being phenomenon. Though majority of her muslim population remain to keep away from such activities, the influence has started to make inroads. One can fight an external enmy, but to fight on internal one, is a different challenge. And she might find herself wanting there. There does not seem to be any way out.

The US is enagaged in military conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan today. Sooner than later it may find itself at war with more than a handful of islamic nations. There is no going back.

The war has already begun...

movies

Sometimes i wonder, if living your life was not about being urself it would have been so meaningless. Days get so difficult when there is no reason to live it for. Adi Shankara could not have bee more right when he said a person is living dead if the person is not dynamic.

People like Balachander, Kamal Hassan, G V Iyer and many more have such a profound way of channelzing these energies.
In the recent ties when my mind has been more and more hungry for intelliectual material, i find the movies made by these guys very satisfying. They have the genius to portray humility, compassion, love with such sheer immensity, that every one of their films have left me awestruck. One such movie I saw recently was Anbe Siwam. A really beauty of a movie, that will leave the viewer wanting for more. The beauty lies in the portrayal of the "dying Left ideology". Every idiolgy has its greatness and downfalls. The character of Nalla, played by Kamal Hassan, inspires the socialist hiding in every one of us. You will be taken by surprise that these ideals are so acceptable to you.
One of the significant changes that has happened in the stories of indian cinema is arround love.

Blah Blah!

off late work has kept me very busy. Nothing has changed to remove the lethargy from my approach to the daily chores. The way things are going, I am due for a good vacation. I have come a long way in the last 3yrs. things have changed. My priorities arent the same. Come to think of it, i must correct my earlier statement, its my priorities that have changed. Not much of me has.

Anyway, sometimes i wonder why i should write here when there is none to read this. I write them and read them myself. Pathetic.

My new (old) bike is amazing. It is big, sturdy, premitive and majestic. I has shocked to find the polluction meter show a high of 8 when the permissible level was 2.5. I hope the equipment was wrong. But there are a lot of minor problems that need some fixing.

.. Wha?!

"Leo.. leo.. look. Daddy is making a shelter for you...". I almost felt my world had gone crazy when i heard that. Now my dad is daddy to this little mischief, and who's saying this !? my mother. So, this little pup had played its magic. He had managed to completly woo my mom and dad to almost become his. My world had changed. For that matter even my parents world had changed. They no longer had the time for "we fight for the heck of it.. to pass time" tricks. This little rat was keeping them too busy to even care for me. Now, gone are the days when my mom would poosi me to have breakfast before I left for office. Infact I had to throw so much of a show to get her attention to the fact that I was having high fever. I had to literally imitate him.. the grunts he makes when he is waking up from deep sleep.
